BARDERA MATERINITY HOSPITAL HOSTS DOCTORS FROM AROUND SOMALIA
Doctors visiting Bardera from Mogadishu and elsewhere is a fantastic beginning for the long neglected Bardera community and other cities and towns in Gedo Region . It is a great news for the communities across Gedo Region that we have optometrists, pediatrians, obstetricians and general practitioners who wish to make regular visits to Bardera area and make their operations centre at Bardera Maternity Hospital.
Bardera Maternity Hospital started hosting December 2011 doctors group visits any and all future visits by such doctors. Bardera Maternity Hospital started operations back in 2007. New visits by doctors with different specialties will become permenant if the security situation improves from Mogadishu to interior regions such as Gedo.
Bardera Maternity Hospital is the only medical centre in Bardera District which is staffed 24 hours a day although services currently provided at Bardera Maternity are only maternity services and children’s basic health services including child and mother nutritional services.
The Maternity Centre has rooms with facilities and staff for all the assistance desired by visiting doctors. In addition, our administrators can host doctor groups and individual doctors visiting cities and towns across Gedo Region. Bardera Maternity staff have working relations with Mandera General Hospital as well as Beled Hawo hospitals in north Gedo.
